Through our connections with the True Potential Scholarship which helps young immigrants attain affordable, quality education through the Nebraska Community College system, we are excited to announce our new partnership with the Nebraska Latino American Commission, the Nebraska Department of Education and the Hispanic Latino Summit (the more the merrier)!
Similar to True Potential, this new partnership will focus on administering a new scholarship for hard-working high school senior (both citizen and non-citizen) that will attend an accredited community college or university. The student will be selected from those attending the Hispanic Latino Summit, an all-day educational conference open to middle school and high school students in Nebraska. The Summit encourages students to pursue higher education by offering information and advice on college readiness.
Over the years, we’ve been privileged to get to see first hand the impact of these scholarships in the lives of students through the work of True Potential. We are excited to welcome this new partnership into the Matters on Tomorrow portfolio and we cannot wait to see the long-term impact of these opportunities in the lives of hard-working students.
We believe in the impact of providing opportunity and this is another great example of the impact we can have on an individual if we work together. We hope as this partnership is proven in the first year we can expand to reach more of the amazing young adults that take part in the Hispanic Latino Summit.
