2014 was definitely a year to celebrate! Thank you to everyone who donated in 2014, whether it was monetarily or through your time and effort. In 2014 Matters On Tomorrow raised just over $40,000 (nearly a 180% increase year-over-year) from 101 unique donors (a 135% year-over-year increase)! The incredible growth of our programs and mission do not stop there. Once all of our groups in the Incubator level are combined, we raised just under $250,000! Looking back, it is hard to believe we have grown so quickly. We began just over 6 years ago, raising a total of $690 our first year. We are people who are dedicated to tangible results, and MOT is making one heck of an impact:
- GtS now has 210 at-risk youth enrolled in its weekly program, 17 basketball teams, mentor programs, homework assistance, and Medicaid counseling services
- Jacob’s Well feeds 250 families twice each month, operates a kids program, hosts neighborhood events for community building, maintains a 30-bed community garden, and expanded outreach to Haiti in 2013
- True Potential has 5 young adults enrolled in 4 community colleges— each of which partnered with MOT to provide part of the funding for these scholarships
- Spark4Change Rwanda has 23 kids off the streets and enrolled in school, obtaining an education, meals, and security
- 2 permanent operations abroad (Haiti and Rwanda)
- Since 2008, engagements in an additional 4 nations (Nicaragua, India, Zambia, Kenya)
This is just the beginning for Matters On Tomorrow as we continue to focus our efforts on developing communities. Our mission is for our partnerships to be not only to be wide but deep. We hope that you will accompany us in this exciting adventure!
