In January MOT was able to give financial support to the Columbus Nebraska Medical Mission Team as they headed off to Cab
ezas, Nicaragua. Cabezas is on the eastern coast and its population is in much need of supplies and attention. The team took everything they needed with them to perform the required surgeries, and with an orphanage near their facility, they were able to take advantage of a wonderful opportunity to provide and interact with the kids. The surgeries performed addressed patients with birth defects such as cleft lips and palates, various advanced cancers and diseases, and illnesses due to the lack of healthcare, safe sanitation and contaminated waste supplies.
MOT is thankful to be part of the team and to support such amazing people going the distance to help others. The Medial Mission Team was even able to purchase and pack the local pantry full of food!
